When I was a child (oh, I'd say about four or five years old), I'd always tried to make a quick buck trying to sell drawings. I thought I made it big when someone (mainly my parents) gave me a dime for a drawing. I would gloat over my piggy bank full of pennies I got for my drawings.
Nowadays, I draw for several reasons, mainly for enjoyment.
Now that I'm older and (not) wiser, I took more interest in photography when I hit college.
Even though I am a Science Major, I still love the arts.
When I joined dA for help with my own work, I didn't expect such an accepting group
